Expand your knowledge on the meticulous craft of entomological pinning with a hands-on learning experience taught by store owner Justin Torone!

This beetle is approximately 2.5 inches in length with a 3.5 inch wingspan. We will be working with males of the species.

Participants will learn how to rehydrate, spread, and pin their very own Hercules Beetle! All necessary supplies will be provided including:

  • Hercules Beetle

  • pinning instruments

  • frame + matte

Please note specimens will require a drying period prior to mounting them in the frame provided by us or a vessel of your choosing. Instructions on finishing your specimen will be given at the end of the class.

CLASS REFUND POLICY: If you are unable to attend the class for any reason, please contact us no later than 72 hours before the class for a full refund. NO REFUNDS will be allowed after this time period.

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before class starts. DOOR IS CLOSED AND LOCKED 5 MINUTES AFTER CLASS STARTS - no entry is allowed after this time.

All classes are 18+ or accompaniment by a parent/guardian. If you are being accompanied by an adult, only one ticket needs to be purchased.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: Our insect pinning classes take place in the basement of our shop which is only accessible via stairs. Please take this into account before purchasing, and please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
